Red lights. Short little red lights.
Three numbers shine through the darkness: 4 - 2 - 3
Once blink, twice blink, and they are gone
in a slow moving blur as invisible weights
pull down a barrier between dream and reality.

9240 seconds later...

Red lights. Short little red lights.
Three numbers appear in a haze: 6 - 5 - 7
A silent intruder enters through the window
   and creeps across the room.
Leaden limbs make you powerless against the inevitable -
the slightest movement demands all your might.
Precious minutes waste away with each breath.
You close your eyes tight - ending your empty stare - as a last plea for more time.

An unnatural shriek pierces the quiet...

...and the incessant whining of your alarm clock foreces you out of bed.

What ails you? Never ending hurricanes preventing sleep? :)

If stress is the cause, get a massage. Or drugs, drugs usually do the trick too.

I used to have an alarm clock, it was horrible. About an hour before the alarm went off, I'd be awake chanting "please don't be morning" Once I got rid of it, I was able to relax enough to get some of that missing sleep. Still woke up at the right time though. The lesson here is, phone sex leads to brain cancer.

no wait...

Get rid of the clock. Also, you'd be surprised how frequent nightmares occur due to the red color glowing from the clock.

sigh, I really got to try to be some-what funnier in the future.
